Reverend Jeremiah Lovebucks Is Coming To Town!

May Day In Christchurch

Bosses Of The World, Unite!
Reverend Jeremiah Lovebucks Is Coming To Town!

Christchurch anarchist group the Anarchist Round Table (ART) is delighted to announce that Reverend Jeremiah Lovebucks, head of the International Church of the Almighty Dollar, will be in Christchurch to lead a special May Day service starting at 12 noon on Tuesday May 1 at the corner of Cashel Mall and High Street, Christchurch.

At the May Day service, Reverend Lovebucks will be urging Cantabrians to come together to celebrate capitalism and rejoice in the wonders of the almighty dollar. Members of his congregation will be singing, dancing, and giving away free money!

Reverend Lovebucks causes controversy wherever he speaks with his "tough love" message to workers that they should accept their place at the bottom of the economic heap and be grateful for whatever crumbs they can scrape up from under the boss's table.

"History shows that workers don't get anywhere by being uppity," said Reverend Lovebucks. "Look at all the effort that went into getting the 40-hour week, and now it's a thing of the past."

"It's time to embrace the invisible hand of the free market and the trickle down theory. My message to workers is simple: Leave it all to the bosses - they know what's best for everyone."

Reverend Lovebucks will be available for interviews after the ceremony on Tuesday May 1.
