Global Day Of Action Against WTO

On November 9-13th 2001, the WTO will hold its first Ministerial meeting since November 1999's abortive meeting in Seattle. The meeting in Doha, Qatar, appears to have been planned in such an out of the way place as to avoid any political demonstrations. Activist groups around the globe have responded by calling to take the Global action local and demonstrations are planned in 100s of cities worldwide including Wellington - Auckland - Christchurch here in New Zealand.

WTO DOHA: The Longest Night - The WTO Doha meeting has gone all night Tuesday night and it is now around 8am Wednesday Doha time. A new text is allegedly about to be presented though nobody has seen it yet (apparently).
