Shell Drops Diesel Prices A Further Three Cents

Shell Drops Service Station Diesel Prices A Further Three Cents

Shell New Zealand is dropping diesel prices by three cents for the second time in five days.

This brings prices in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin to approximately 86.9 cents.

Shell says a further softening in refined product costs has prompted the move.

Shell Retail Manager, Steve Foster, says the Company is acutely aware of the pressure which diesel prices are having on businesses and its customers, and is committed to passing on every benefit as opportunities arise.

“Despite the volatile nature of the international oil markets, Shell will make the most of every opportunity to give customers the best price possible. Refined product costs have dropped by more than US$ 2.00. This has allowed Shell to pass on further price reductions to motorists.”

Mr Foster says Shell will remain responsive to all international price movements, and looks forward to offering additional price reductions as markets will allow.

These price decreases do not apply to the Auckland region where Shell has already reduced prices in the past week.
