Farmer's Fighting Fund Support Sought

Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc) President, Alistair Polson, today announced that Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc) would be approaching the Trustee's of the Farmers Fighting Fund for support, in appealing the Employment Court decision in relation to the validity of strike action by NUPE commencing at midnight Thursday.

"I will be requesting the Trustee's to convene at the earliest possible time to consider our application", Mr Polson said.

Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc) intend to explore and act on any legal front to prevent this strike going ahead, and mitigating the damage this Union has already caused.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the Farmers Fighting Fund can telephone 0800 Farming or mail donations to PO Box 2828, Wellington.
