NZ Made Beauty Product Celebrates Ten Glowing Years

A New Zealand made beauty product that has become a household name is celebrating its tenth birthday.

Natural Glow, famous for its luminous spheres that give skin a natural, healthy-looking radiance, has grown into a significant success story over the past decade, with New Zealand retail sales worth over $3 million annually.

Marketing and distribution company Quantum Global owns the product, which is now selling strongly in Australia as well as New Zealand.

Quantum Global’s general manager Kim Gardiner says Natural Glow’s success lies in its quality development, its ease of use and versatility. “Only products that truly live up to their claims achieve the widespread consumer acceptance and loyalty that Natural Glow has realised,” she says. “Natural Glow still uses the original formula developed ten years ago. It hasn’t needed to be improved upon because of the inspired work that first went into it.”

Suzanne Paul, who first introduced New Zealanders to Natural Glow, is joining Quantum Global’s birthday celebrations by fronting a $450,000 trans-Tasman media campaign.

“I’m still as excited today about Natural Glow as I was 10 years ago, and I’m proud to be helping it celebrate its tenth birthday,” says Suzanne Paul. “I’ve tried other products over the years but have always come back to Natural Glow because it works so well. I think that the biggest testament to its success is that people still ask me every day whether I’m wearing it. The fact that they have to ask proves how natural it looks.”

“Suzanne would be one of many, many people who have been using Natural Glow since the early 1990s and we’re thrilled that she has joined us in celebrating this milestone,” says Kim Gardiner.

An umbrella has been incorporated as a centrepiece of the ‘10 Glowing Years’ birthday campaign, to highlight the product’s SPF12 quality. “Few bronzing products or face powders offer a sun protection factor, so as a birthday gift to customers we’re giving away umbrellas with purchase (while stocks last) to heighten awareness of this feature,” says Ms Gardiner.

“Natural Glow has a broad appeal to a huge age range, from 15 to 55 year olds, and to men as well as women. It sells through Quantum Global’s long-term retail partners – Farmers and Unichem and Life Pharmacies. The feedback we get most often is about how easy it is to use and how versatile is it. It can be used on the body and face, as a bronzer, nail polish, eye shadow, lipstick or as a basic powder.”

Natural Glow’s range has extended to include winter and summer shades that are suitable for year-round use for all skin types. It’s available in the original loose powder form, and now comes as a pressed powder as well.
