Elle Macpherson Intimates “Strips Off” With Billboard Campaign

Rush-hour traffic was treated to a striptease in Auckland today as the second of two new Elle Mapcherson Intimates billboards were unveiled by a pair of Kiwifire dancers.

Two billboards went up in Auckland earlier this week, with a cryptic message alerting passersby to watch out for a “Striptease here”. Kiwifire performers Clint Elvy and Clint Scott – dressed in Macpherson Men white boxers – then went up in a cherrypicker to “strip off” the cover message from the billboards. The first striptease was in Newmarket during evening rush-hour yesterday, and the second during the morning rush-hour in Fanshawe St today.

The billboards feature a larger-than-life Elle Macpherson, photographed in her premier lingerie collection for Summer 2002/03. The billboards are the first Elle Macpherson Intimates billboards to be unveiled in New Zealand for four years.

The ultra-sexy lingerie collection featured on the billboards is called White. It features new technology fabric that is not only exceptionally fine but is also paper-light. The collection includes a balconet contour bra, a culotte and a camisole. It also introduces a brand new thong shape, with a wide side band for extra comfort. Each garment features pintucking, crochet lace trims and satin ribbons.

Kay Cohen, general manager of Elle Macpherson Intimates, says the White collection showcases innovation fabric technology and sexy styling. “Exquisitely detailed and finished, the White collection is a gorgeous expression of sensuality,” Kay Cohen says.

Aside from the Auckland billboards, the White collection is also being showcased in print magazine advertising and an outdoor poster campaign in Sydney and Melbourne.
