FieldPower Named 'Best Mobile Deployment of 2003' By Field Force Automation Magazine

FieldPower tops more than two dozen competitors to win the 2003 FFAst Track Award for best mobile field service deployment with its MCI/ Volt Telecom solution

Falls Church, VA - FieldPower, Inc., a Falls Church, Virginia based field force automation software company, today announced it has been awarded 'Best Mobile Service, Small or Mid-Size Enterprise' in Field Force Automation Magazine's 2003 FFAst Track awards. The awards program surveys a broad set of technology vendors and deployments in the field force automation sector, and "picks the very best" to share "the most effective, far-reaching mobile technology deployments." FieldPower competed against more than two dozen companies from around the world to win this honor and was selected for this award based on deployment of the company's FieldCore(tm) solution by MCI and Volt Telecom Group.

MCI, one of the largest telephony providers in the world, and Volt Telecom Group, a provider of systems and services to telecommunications companies, chose FieldPower in late 2001 to deploy its state-of-the-art FieldCore(tm) system to manage field operations, reduce costs, and significantly improve customer satisfaction. Within 3 months, FieldPower integrated and launched its software solution to automate the scheduling, dispatch, routing, and tracking of all field service activities.

FieldPower was chosen for the prestigious FFAst Track Award due to the unprecedented payback from this deployment, which well exceeded MCI and Volt's expectations. Net results include:

* savings of 60-90 seconds per call to MCI's call center;
* elimination of data typing errors;
* elimination of more than 5,000 call-backs per month to the call center;
* a 220% decrease in the number of dispatchers required by Volt;
* a decrease in missed customer appointments from 25% to less than 5%;
* a doubling of MCI's collection rates on field service work; and
* improvement of overall service quality and customer satisfaction.

FieldCore is used by more than 400 MCI customer service representatives in multiple call centers and over 100 repair technicians from Volt Telecom. Ease of use and speed of deployment were other key factors in the selection of FieldPower for the award.

"FieldCore stood out because of FieldPower's 20-plus years providing solutions for telecommunications companies," said Ken Lilley, Volt project manager. "In addition to that experience, FieldPower is known for its ability to develop solutions rapidly. FieldCore's dispatching portion practically runs itself . . . it is very, very user friendly."

"We are truly honored to be selected as the winner of this important award," said Neil Murphy, President of FieldPower. "Our company's focus is creating software that solves real world business problems in the field service sector, driving strong return on investment for our customers. We are thrilled to be recognized for our success with MCI and Volt, and look forward to continuing our work in bringing these benefits to the entire field service industry."
