How To Help Flooded Farmers

17 February 2004 PR 30/04
How To Help Flooded Farmers

Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc) has been contacted by members and others wanting to help flood-affected farmers in the lower North Island.

Farmers and others might want to offer help through providing feed, electricity generators, or accommodation. Other items needed include dog food, gas bottles, and lanterns. Farmers might also have room to take stock from weather-affected farms, or help clean up.

The Federation has set up an email address for farmers and others to offer help. We will do our best to channel those offers to the people most in need.

If you think you have something to offer, email: flooding@fedfarm.org.nz

Or phone: 0800 FARMING, 0800 327 646
