FRINGE '04: Evil Fiona’s Love Test

EVIL FIONA’S LOVE TEST

Evil Fiona’s Love Test is being presented at Bats theatre 1 Kent Tce from 19th – 22nd Feb at 9.30pm.

A memoir of Evil Fiona’s love history.

We step inside the imagination of Evil Fiona and glimpse scenes from her trials and tribulations in love.

Born into a magical childhood of pink innocence and joy, she left the cradle of home to be propelled into a chaotic world of bleak adventure.

She discovered sex and then love; she understood she had talent for both and that adventures with dizzying highs and catastrophic lows solicited a craving that bordered on addiction. Her natural talent and beauty gave insight to power and manipulation. However with the ability to rely on power over another, came the ability to crash when power was withdrawn, and thus her strange and wonderful nightmare took hold. The longing for destiny was nowhere stronger than in her romantic life.

As we watch we realize there is a little bit of Evil Fiona in all of us.

Take two collaborators - script writer/ singer Katherine van Beek and choreographer Maria Dabrowska give them a title for a show and some raw subject material; get them to swap the cities they call home for a year. Give them a fragmented knowledge of what the other is producing, and then witness how they combine their efforts into a flawless tale of love and twisted reality.
