Clarification

Media reports today incorrectly stated that New Zealand designer apparel exports were worth NZ$50 million. This figure is in fact out of date and most likely came from an old report published before Air New Zealand Fashion Week even began. New Zealand's total apparel exports for the year to June 04 were NZ$302 million. New Zealand Trade and Enterprise also confirmed today that the export sales of just four of the designers exhibiting in Air New Zealand Fashion Week for the year to June 04 were worth $40 million.
