Its all go at BATS with Fringe 05 officially opening on Friday but of course we have jumped the gun. This week don¹t miss out on three great shows ­ Finding Willy continues, Paint opens tonight and Coldstart begins on Sunday.

Finding Willy Season: Wednesday 2 ­ Saturday 12 February Time: 7pm Tickets: $16 full price/$12 concession/$10 Fringe addict card

1 woman, 12 characters and a small town. "Finding Willy", Danielle Mason¹s solo masterpiece, is a bawdy, sexy, comedic, one hour romp through the Shakespearian - inspired town of Stratford, Taranaki. Based on Danielle¹s solo monologue, "Salt", performed in her third year at Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School (2002), "Finding Willy" is an hour ten minute extended version. Danielle Mason's credits include, The Shape of Things, Circa Studio (2004) and Collected Stories Circa Studio (2004) for which she won two awards at the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards 2004 ­ Best Newcomer and accolade for Most Outstanding Performance. Curtis Vowell, the director, is also a Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School graduate. This is his directing debut.

Paint is splattering into Bats Theatre for five nights only. This powerful and gritty New Zealand play will be a world premiere and it is bound to sweep you up in its brush strokes. In middle class New Zealand friends and enemies alike wear masks that reassure each other of their stability while they quietly crumble on the inside. Stunning artwork by Ingrid Park shows the beauty that can lie hidden in the darkness of depression and the hideousness of everyday life.

Combining a fresh script with the devising talents of the BloodWorks Theatre Collective, original music and live art this is one you should not miss. Written and directed by Sebastian Hurrell this is the second outing for BloodWorks since its formation in April 2004 www.bloodworks.co.nz

A quirky, slice of life comedy about six young professionals living the single life.

Just in time for Valentines Day is a hilarious comedy about three young professional women who decide to spice up their single lives by inviting three desirable strangers over to dinner: Toby the sexy gym instructor, Simon the amazing "busboy" and Duncan the handsome Doc.

It's not a blind date, it's not a swingers party ­ It's a COLDSTART! Director Lyndee-Jane Rutherford brings this fresh insightful comedy to the stage as part of the 2005 Wellington Fringe Festival along with actors, Cath Harkins, Brianne Kerr, Louise Proudfoot, Cohen Holloway, Alan Brunton and Cooper Amai. Lighting design by Rob Larsen. This is writer Louise Proudfoot's second stage comedy, the first being the highly successful Fringe Festival 2001 show "Four Doors and a Sofa".
