Cherie Blair to Visit New Zealand

Cherie Blair noted British attorney, human rights advocate, and the wife of Prime Minister Tony Blair will visit Auckland in February to speak at a gala charity dinner in aid of the Starship Foundation.

The dinner to be held on Monday 7th February at the SKYCITY Convention Centre will be a glittering star-studded night to raise much-needed funds for the Starship Foundation which provides additional equipment, support and help to staff, patients and families at the Starship national children’s hospital.

Ms Blair will speak on human rights for women and children, balancing family and career (as a mother of four), charity and public service and legal issues and provide a personal insight into being the Prime Minister’s wife. As a trustee and patron of several charities for women and children’s in the UK, Cherie Blair says “I am really looking forward to visiting New Zealand and helping the tremendous fundraising work done by the Starship Foundation to ensure patients and their families get the best care possible.”

Starship Foundation Chief Executive, Andrew Young, says “We’re thrilled to have been chosen as the recipient charity of this prestigious event in New Zealand. We are very excited and look forward to a high level of support from the public, political and corporate sectors to create a stunning and successful evening.”
Tickets for the dinner are $250 (GST inclusive) each or $2500 for a table of 10 which includes a full three course meal plus all beverages and are available from International Events and Speakers on (09) 3769247.
VIP packages are $10,000 (GST exclusive) which includes a VIP table of 10 with prominently positioned table and celebrity seated at your table, 10 tickets to the exclusive VIP drinks with Cherie Blair, a full page advertisement in the official dinner program plus scrolling logo on giant screens during the dinner.
