The above image from the NOAA supercomputer Aviation (short range) weather model shows what appears to be a weakening Cyclone Sose hitting the North Island on Good Friday April 13th around midday.
In the latest forecast of Cyclone Sose’s path, the storm is shown passing over New Zealand far faster than in earlier forecasts. By Saturday evening winds are shown dying down. And Easter Sunday looks like it might even be fine and sunny. The image below shows the forecast for around midday on Easter Sunday.
