The Coroner's Inquest into the police shooting of Waitara
student Steven Wallace has been further delayed till
September at the earliest.
Architecture student Steven
Wallace was shot by police in the early hours of April 30th
last year by a police officer identified publicly only as
Constable A.
Delivering his decision, reserved following
a hearing on May 21, Coroner Gordon Matenga said he was
satisfied that their may be some prejudice to the police
officers involved in the shooting if the inquest were to go
ahead immediately.
