Feedback: Re: David Miller On Powerful Women

Re: David Miller: Coping With Powerful Women

We Need To Help David Miller Find A New Girlfriend

His current partner seems to be suffering from a common and boring neurosis, prevalent amongst those women who have adopted affectations toward feminism, without actually having spent much time thinking about it.

Alas, the symptoms are present - the willingness to shriek accusations of sexism, on the scantiest of evidence. In the eyes of this poor sufferer, legitimate critique of Christine Rankin, political or aesthetic, is perceived as fear of Women’s Power(TM), and humble musings of marriage traditions are enthusiastically pounced upon, and the musor is denounced, likened to the worst kind of faeces-consuming animal.

I propose a cure for this neurosis.
Perhaps if our ailed companions could be taught about sexism. We could show them how women are treated in India or Iran, for example. I bet any one of the Afghani women currently aboard the Tampa would not see sexism in David’s innocent musings after living under the Taliban.

Don't worry Dave. If she can't be cured, we can help by setting you up with someone less neurotic.

C.S. Williams.

David Miller,

In response to your article that was posted on Tuesday 04 September 2001, I believe you that should start listening to “Lisa” she had some real valid points. Why should women change their name? Their name is also a “brand name”, why should women give this away, just because they get married!

Your father is right: women are the stronger sex. We are able to cope with a lot more than men. Men need to swallow their pride and just get on with it. You never know men might just start getting the top jobs again.

Please pass on to “Lisa” that all of the women in my office support her and her comments.

Men like you give men a bad name.
