Scoop Feedback: Wasted Loot

Dear Sir

In just this week alone, the media has informed us that Air New Zealand needs a further bailout of $1.7 billion over and above the initial bailout of $185 million. That consultants used by the Treasury in this bail out cost $3 million. That various ministries have purchased top of the line coffee machines costing between $20,000 and $25,000. New Zealand post wasted $3 million on a Madrid deal. The Ministry of Education is spending $10 million more on early childhood education to prop up an education system that will always be substandard and bad value for money.

All this, using money extracted off me by force. This is only this week. Not to mention any other scams we don't know about. I don't remember ever giving anyone my permission to use my money to pay for these absurdities.

Yet it seems the will of the people are being served. Even sadder, it seems the people want more of the same and will show that at the ballot box.

Maybe the polling booths ought to be stationed at the stockyards in future! Baaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
