More Of A Baboon Than A Chimp
Re "Hard News"(which I enjoy & respect) and the headline "The President is a Chimp" :
Chimps, whether Pan troglydytes or paniscus, have quite a lot of social and political couth (try reading Franz de Waal.) I suggest to Russell, respectuflly, the header should read "The President Is A Baboon."
Aside from anything else, this removes us from any taint of distant cousinhood.

Perigo on Islam
Lindsay Perigo's denunciation of Islam ( "The Death of Pim Fortuyn" 9 May) is offensive to people of faith and tolerance alike. He clearly knows nothing about Islam and displays the same extremism that he seeks to condemn.
