It's unbelievable how some people think it is their right to have their life funded by others in return for nothing, apart from irresponsibility!
No matter how sorry you may feel for these people, they should be responsible for their own lives - the consequences of their lack of personal responsibility should not be forced upon others.
I am a compassionate person, as most of us tend to be, but surely it’s not that difficult to see that what they are doing is wrong.
Why is it that in the past, if a young girl became pregnant, her family would rally around, become closer, take up the challenge. etc or is this just a myth?
Nowadays the family doesn’t have to do this - mum and dad say - oh well, you can go on the DPB now, so instead of them all living under one roof, with one power bill, one phone bill, one lot of groceries, etc etc all these expenses are doubled up - they don’t care - they get it for free.
Where are the parents? Where are the fathers? Where are the families?
Their un-written responsibilities have been taken away from them by the state.
As I said before, we are a compassionate people - we don’t want to watch people who are truly in need suffer - if they were given half a chance, charities would spring up everywhere to cater for those unfortunates, with funds donated by caring people, as opposed to stolen from the taxpayer.
I owe these people nothing.
I think that having money taken away from me and my dependants, under threat, after I have worked hard all week and handed over to them, who I don’t even know or care about is criminal, irrespective of their need.
This society in which we live has been poisoned by socialism.
The antidote to this poison is personal responsibility, and not welfare dependency.
