The Fight For Life II – As Related By Linda Clark

Overnight it emerges that the latest victim of “Russ the Roq”, a.k.a. Aucklander and superstar Russell Crowe, is none other than multi-millionaire, entrepreneurial husband of model Nicky, Warrior Rugby League club owner and retail magnate Eric Watson.

Introducing her show this morning Radio New Zealand’s top rating radio host Linda Clark related the view from loo of the upmarket London establishment in which the alleged blue went down two nights ago.

While no-one involved is yet officially spilling the beans on the fight… according to the friends of Watson, as related by Linda Clark this is how it went down.

The two had met up earlier in the evening and discussed league, not pleasantly it seems.

Several hours later they were discussing league again in the loos.

Linda takes up the story…

“Two hours later the two men happened to be in the men’s loo, at the same time. By this time the Watson camp say that Russell Crowe was, well shall we say, tired and emotional.

“Again the performance of the Warrior’s came up in conversation – if you can call it conversation – and this time Russell Crowe is alleged to have used racial epithets to describe the team. I will not repeat them here.

“Eric Watson got offended, next thing you know, according to Eric’s friends, there’s pushing there’s shoving and Russell Crowe hit Eric Watson twice. At which point Eric Watson retaliated.

“Then Russell Crowe’s minder arrived on to the scene, burst through the doors, hit Eric Watson twice in the face then held the millionaire’s arms while Russell Crowe hit him again. It was at this point the star from the TV Soap Eastenders intervened. My word! What can we say? How the other half live.

Onto the programme…”

My word indeed!

And could this be a new trend facet in Radio New Zealand reportage emerging? Scoop certainly hope’s so.
