We steamed out under the Golden Gate Bridge and found a nice lee in Bonita Cove, beneath the Marin Headlands.

The flags in the colour guard represent (l-r) Prisoners of War and Missing in Action, the Merchant Marine, California (uncharacteristically shy), Scotland, and the United States. The link with Scotland is that the man the Jeremiah O'Brien is named after was a Scotsman.

The SS Jeremiah O'Brien is a mobile museum, a National Historic Landmark, and she and her triple expansion reciprocating steam engine are a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark.
