Scoop Images: As If Florida Has Not Had Enough

As if Florida has not had enough hurricanes already (Charley and Frances) over the past few weeks Hurricane Ivan, rapidly moving towards Category 4 status, is now headed in their general direction. The following is the latest National Hurricane Center prediction map.

You can read more on the NHC's Hurricane Ivan Page. The short version is that the ultimate destination of this Hurricane cannot be determined at this time. That said, its current path must have both Cuba and Jamaica deeply worried.

Meanwhile courtesy of WeatherUnderground.Com on the following graphic you can see that several of the global supercomputer weather models show Ivan making a Florida landfall over the coming week to ten days.

Notably as the graphic and NHC commentary point out at this range the ultimate destination of a Hurricane is impossible to determine. That said Ivan already has plenty of people in Florida plenty concerned.
