Scoop Feedback: A Defender Of Amway Speaks Up

Amway Business Tax Deductions/ Free Enterprise-The Party Is Far From Over

Dear editor,

Recently you ran a article by Evelyn Pringle titled IRS to Amway, the party's over.

To correct Evelyn Pringle the ruling was not against Amway but was against a husband and wife who obviously were abusing the tax code for personal gain.

How this has anything to do with Evelyn Pringle's obvious animosity toward free enterprise and Amway is beyond me.

Evelyn then wants people to view the Amway sales plan on a propagandist web site from someone who calls Amway sales people merchants of deception.

I guess in Evelyn s world it is wrong to sell products and recruit sales people and train them if you work from your home.

It is time to look around and note what is happening in the world.

The Amway model if you want to call it that is being copied all over the world by large and small companies in various degrees.

Microsoft has people who work out of their homes and I work out of my home as a remodeling contractor.

When I buy sales tools at Barnes And Noble or online it is deductible.

Books such as how to sell, think and grow rich, sales tapes, seminars on deck building in reno Nevada etc.

All these and the expenses to get to the seminar are deductible by all companies as long as you can show legitimate profit intent or business activity.

Many insurance people and real estate agents work from home.

The sales tools and seminars and everything else is deductible.

Evelyn was simply not telling the truth when she eluded to that tax code changing.

Evelyn also lied when she wrote that the IRS told Amway the party was over.

People like Evelyn Pringle who have agendas and wont let the facts change their mind are like the people who now are saying the slaves would have been free without the civil war.

What exactly is your point?

Evelyn then ends her article with Amway being called a pyramid scheme.

The federal trade commission, all of congress, the senate, the house and every president since Amway started disagrees vehemently with Evelyn .

On the contrary Amway employs tens of thousands of people all over the world, there are millions of Amway sales people who make incomes from the sale

Of products and volume of products sold by their sales people. They also make money from the sale of sales tools.

Sounds like Evelyn is a socialist and thinks only government should own companies and make a profit.

Maybe she feels only large companies should make a profit and sell things.

Evelyn should pay close attention to who owns this country. It is we the people and for those of us who sell for a living and own our own businesses.

I am left wondering how many people Evelyn employs and if she has done much for her country lately.

She is good at propaganda and trying to tear people down. Souds like she would do well to listen to an Amway sales tape.

Start with Rich Devos Evelyn.

You might learn something.

Sincerely,
