The spouses of two National MPs are taking legal advice
about incorrect statements Education Minister Trevor Mallard
made about them in the House last week, Deputy Leader Bill
English and MP Max Bradford said today.
"Last Thursday (15
March), Mr Mallard faxed information to persons outside
Parliament on our wives, which was utterly incorrect. The
material entitled 'Members Families' also suggested that the
Minister of Education was gathering information to use
against opposition MPs and their families.
