Why Isn’t Hobbs Down The Road Too?

ACT Leader Richard Prebble wants to know why newly-reinstated minister Marian Hobbs hasn’t been sent down the road with coalition colleague Phillida Bunkle.

“There are still unanswered questions about Ms Hobbs actions,” he said.

“For example, the Crown Law Office found that Marian Hobbs wasn’t entitled to collect $18,000 in out-of-Wellington allowances.

“No one in the Parliamentary Services office can remember giving her the advice on allowances that she claims to have received.

“This is another case of Labour blaming the Alliance. The mess surrounding Phillida Bunkle has left her on the back-bench. The mess surrounding Marian Hobbs has her back in the cabinet.

“The same standard should be applied to Labour and Alliance ministers,” Richard Prebble said.
