Green Animal Welfare and Broadcasting Spokesperson Sue Kedgley today said she is looking forward to seeing the Havoc Show - in which cameras were taken into a battery hen factory - as soon as possible.

The show was pulled from screening late last week by TV2, who said it was not fit to air.

Ms Kedgley said she hoped the decision to pull the show related to technical issues and was not related to either the factory farming footage or pressure from advertisers concerned with that footage.

"I am hoping that the decision to pull this show had nothing at all to do with the visit to a battery chicken farm and I sincerely hope that any footage of this factory is not edited as a result of any outside pressures," said Ms Kedgley.

"Given what this Show has got away with in the past I would be most interested to know what exactly TVNZ deemed unfit to air."

"Battery chicken farming is extraordinarily cruel and full credit to the Havoc Show for wanting to show New Zealanders how hens are treated here," she said.

"There has been a veil of secrecy around these type of practices for far too long and I am really looking forward to seeing this episode when it finally screens."
