National MP Opens Wigram Electorate Office

Wigram's National List MP and candidate, Alec Neill, last night opened National's Wigram Electorate Office. The many guests and supporters present were delighted that National now has an operational office servicing the Wigram electorate.

The National Party is targeting the vulnerable Wigram electorate, selecting a high profile candidate to challenge the Deputy Prime Minister Jim Anderton. Alec Neill is operating a full electorate office facility and his campaign for the 2002 election is already well under way.

"Jim Anderton needs to win the Wigram electorate if the Alliance has any chance of being in existence after the election. It is becoming apparent that Mr Anderton is living off the back of this electorate. With the Alliance threatening to implode at any time he has been quoted as saying that he is the only thing between the Alliance and oblivion," Alec Neill stated.

"Mr Anderton should not take the vote of this electorate for granted. The people who live and work in Wigram are looking for a candidate with experience, commitment and a grasp of daily reality. I can provide these skills - I doubt if the same can be said for my opponent."

"I look forward to running a tough campaign on behalf of the people of Wigram."
