Monday, 1 April 2002, 10:34 pm Press Release: ACT New Zealand
ACT leader Richard Prebble today joined in expressions of
sympathy to the Royal Family on the death of the Queen
Mother.
"The Queen Mother was one of the most popular
Royals, having given a lifetime of service.
"Her
popularity dates back to the courage she showed during World
War 2 when she refused to leave London during the Blitz.
She has remained popular ever since.
"I believe her
long life, and her zest for life, have been proof that
there is life after 90," Mr Prebble said.
