Wednesday, 8 May 2002, 1:28 pm Press Release: ACT New Zealand
Wednesday 8 May 2002
The taxpayer has received
the first bill for Marian Hobbs' TVNZ Charter, ACT
Broadcasting Spokesman MP Penny Webster said today.
"Twelve million dollars is a ridiculous amount of public
money to spend putting Ms Hobbs' politically correct
stamp on the State television network.
"Ms Hobbs has
committed taxpayers to propping up TVNZ in perpetuity, so
the state television network can meet the Minister's
"spiritual" objectives. This bill is only the
beginning," Mrs Webster
said.
