Would PPTA Head Attend An ACT Conference?

Cosiness between Labour politicians and teacher union leaders is distressing for parents, ACT Education Spokesman MP Donna Awatere Huata said today.
"Parents are left believing union leaders care more about staying friends with Trevor and Helen than they do about keeping good educators in front of kids.
"Would the PPTA director attend an ACT conference?
"The deal sorted out just in time for the Labour conference stinks.
"Teachers are upset, and I don't blame them. This sham exposes how ridiculous it is for pay negotiations to take place in Wellington between bureaucrats and unionists. Pay negotiations should be between individual schools and th e teachers in the classrooms, not worked out between Labour Party aficionados," Mrs Awatere Huata said.
