National takes to the road on law and order

National's Police spokesman, Tony Ryall, is on the road this week taking National's tough line on law and order around the country.

"We want people in every region to understand that National will deliver the tougher sentencing and extra police New Zealanders been calling for. We have pledged 500 extra frontline police over the next three years and harsher sentences to reduce crime.

"National is promising a police force that people can see. Law and order is a major issue in every part of the country because of a critical shortage of frontline police and the spiralling violent crime rate.

"We want people to know that National's ideas will work. We will put more cops on the beat and we will crack down hard on crime."

Tony Ryall is in Papakura today talking about law and order and he will launch his tour in Palmerston North on Friday. He will visit most parts of the country over the next few weeks.
