Did Labour Really Mean It?

Labour should reveal all secret payouts before the election, so the public can see they didn't deliver on their promise, National Leader Bill English said today.

Mr English said the $4 million of secret payouts is a test of whether people can believe Labour's promises during this campaign.

"Payouts were a key issue last election alongside party hopping. Both these promises have been broken like the promises of better health and education.

"The secondary schools are in a shambles, Labour has directed $120 million of health cuts, and nurses' strikes are looming.

"This campaign will test Labour's credibility more than it expects," Mr English said.
