Do The Job You Are Paid For Minister

New Zealand First Leader and MP for Tauranga, Rt Hon Winston Peters, has called on the Minister of Immigration, Lianne Dalziel, to do the job she is paid to do for the New Zealand taxpayer.

Mr Peters was commenting on the revelation that yet another serious criminal had simply wandered into New Zealand unchallenged.

“It is one thing for Minister Dalziel to have warm fuzzy feelings about her insistence that New Zealand have an open door policy when it comes to immigrants, refugees and visitors, but it is quite another matter when New Zealanders are exposed to the very real dangers arising from such policies,” Mr Peters said.

“Our immigration service is either unable or unwilling to stop serious criminals from entering our country, so confidence can we have that this Minister’s department can successfully vet applications by desperate individuals seeking to gain residency here,” concluded Mr Peters.
