I respect the decision of Michelle Boag that tomorrow she intends to tender her resignation as President of the National Party, says National Party Leader Bill English.
"Michelle has been a hard working member of the National Party for many years, and has always had the best interests of the National Party at heart.
"My focus now is for the National Party to move forward with a united purpose and I look forward to us becoming a clear alternative government over the next parliamentary term.
"I will be making no further comment on this matter," says Mr English.
