Tall Blacks winners in New Zealanders' minds
National Leader Bill English has congratulated the Tall Blacks on their winning attitude in facing the world champions at the World Basketball Championships today.
"The Tall Blacks played the best 20 minutes of basketball they have ever played and it was a gritty effort to then stay in the game against the top team in the world.
"They have done remarkably well. New Zealanders are so proud of their attitude and determination and we will all be right behind them tomorrow as they play off for the third spot," Mr English said.
