What is Annette King Hiding?

What is Annette King Hiding?

ACT Health Spokesman Heather Roy said today that a public relations spin is imminent from the Government to sell its new primary health organisation funding formula replacing the Community Services Card.

"Until now, the Minister of Health has refused to release the controversial primary health organisation funding formula, despite stating on October 1 that the formula had been confirmed. The Government is already funding six primary health organisations but Annette King refuses to make the final formula publicly available.

"Health officials have made it very clear that this information is ready, but it is obviously highly sensitive. We know from the draft formula released in July that funding is race-based or dependent on the location of patients, and we also know that the Minister has no excuse for not releasing this exact information.

"Frankly, the Minister is embarrassing herself by failing to provide information that all of New Zealand is entitled to. What exactly is she hiding?

"I have asked parliamentary questions that should force the Minister to release this information. I have little doubt that she will pre-empt the answers to my questions with a spin campaign in order to sell this highly controversial funding formula to the public," Mrs Roy said.
