Pot Using MP Lacks Courage Of Convictions

New Zealand First MP Craig McNair says he is disappointed that Nandor Tanzcos lacked the courage to answer questions about his cannabis use when he was interviewed by police.

Mr McNair was today advised by police that Mr Tanzcos would not be prosecuted for his reported use of cannabis.

“I was told that Mr Tanzcos would not answer questions relating to his personal cannabis use. It is obvious that when it came to the crunch, he lacked the courage of his convictions.

“If Mr Tanzcos could not bring himself to admit the details of his cannabis smoking to the police he should stop advocating the use of this illegal drug.

“I still maintain that it is wrong for an MP to keep breaking the law on a regular basis. It sends the wrong message.”

Mr McNair said he would be seeking legal advice about whether any further action needed to be taken to stop the Green MP spreading his pro-drugs message to the young people of New Zealand.
