Plagiarist Prebble Denies Past Policies

New Zealand First has described Richard Prebble’s pledge to investigate and expose Maori gravy trains as “total hypocrisy” because he helped create the gravy train industry as a Labour cabinet minister in the 1984-90 government.

Leader Rt Hon Winston Peters said that Mr Prebble was being ”spectacularly insincere” because the Act leader had always criticised New Zealand First’s long term campaign to end the Treaty grievance industry.

“Mr Prebble has conveniently forgotten that he was one of the architects of the system that is dividing New Zealanders and creating constitutional and legal chaos. He is trying to divert attention from his party’s problems and save his leadership, which is up for grabs in just a few weeks.”

Mr Peters also suggested that Mr Prebble should stay away from trains of any description because all New Zealanders remember his empty promises to save the country’s rail services.

“The train system is chaotic up and down the country and as a former Minister of Railways, Mr Prebble must stand tall among the chaos.”
