Paid parental leave increase good news for families

Paid parental leave rises to a maximum of $334.75 per week from 1 July.

“That’s good news for families. It shows the benefit of political parties working together in coalition to get good things done for New Zealand,” said Matt Robson, Progressive deputy leader.

“Paid parental leave was implemented in the first term of the Clark-Anderton coalition. It enables new parents to achieve a better work-life balance for themselves and their kids.

“It is another example showing that good coalition government gets good things done for New Zealanders. I look forward to four weeks annual leave for all as the next step,” said Matt Robson.
