Government Falling Apart At The Seams

New Zealand First is not surprised that Friday’s hui in Auckland has been cancelled.

“A Government in disarray through disagreements within its own caucus is also under increasing pressure from its political mates to fix the foreshore and seabed issue, yet it seems they are no closer to a result nor are they listening,” said New Zealand First Maori Affairs spokesperson, Bill Gudgeon.

“While the Labour party is squabbling with the Greens over GE it is dependent on them, and on United Future’s blind support for progress on the Supreme Court. While all of this heat is occurring in the Government’s kitchen we have fights breaking out in hui up and down the country and as we approach the critical last urban hui it is clear that the Government is not listening to the people, just because Helen knows best!

“The Government still has no solution for this serious problem it has created. The only course is to legislate for Crown ownership,” said Mr Gudgeon.
