Zaoui Under Greater Threat

Zaoui Under Greater Threat

“Moving the Algerian refugee Ahmed Zaoui from maximum security to remand prison will increase the threat of health and psychological harm that his small misguided supporters fear for him,” said New Zealand First Leader Rt Hon Winston Peters.

“How will Mr Zaoui now be protected from the endless stream of do-gooders like MPs Keith Locke and Matt Robson? He may even be forced to read one of their press releases!

“These ‘keepers’ of our conscience who want to turn New Zealand into an international refugee camp will pontificate at Mr Zaoui’s side and drive the poor man to distraction,” said Mr Peters.

“What a price Mr Zaoui is having to pay for his oversight in entering the country illegally with false papers and hiding his murky past. Having survived our most dastardly prison he is now to be subjected to what may be eternal harangues whilst awaiting New Zealand’s Minister of Inertia acceptance that the immigration buck stops with her.

“The threat to Zaoui is now so great that the international watchdogs may have to act against Messrs Locke and Robson and their woolly-headed mates,” said Mr Peters.
