Brash takes message to the regions

National Party Leader Don Brash goes on the road tomorrow in the first of a series of regional meetings following his Orewa speech.

The first stop is Rotorua, where he will go on a public walkabout and speak at a meeting to explain National's position to heartland New Zealand.

The road trip follows great public concern about the direction of race relations and the huge public support for National's call for one law for all, an end to race-based funding in education and health, and the Government's hypocrisy over the foreshore and seabed proposals.

It also comes hard on the heels of a TV One - Colmar Brunton public opinion poll released on Saturday night which showed an unprecedented jump in the polls for the National Party, up 17 percentage points since December to 45 points, 7 points ahead of Labour which dropped 7 to 38.
