Don Brash visits Queenstown and Invercargill

National Party leader Don Brash is going on the road again this weekend, taking National's "one law for all" policies to Queenstown and Invercargill, with more regional trips being planned in the coming weeks.

"It is clear the vast majority of New Zealanders are rejecting Labour's divisive race-based policies and are welcoming the prospect of change. They have had enough of political correctness seeping into every aspect of life," Dr Brash says.

The regional visits he is undertaking are aimed at spreading the message and reinforcing the prospect of change.

"Labour, seeing the huge support for National's policies, is panicking and making cosmetic change, such as rethinking the multi-million dollar treaty of Waitangi propaganda campaign. But the public should see these moves for what they are - cosmetic. Only National can change this Government and return New Zealand to the proper balanced course," he says.

Dr Brash is holding a public meeting in Queenstown from 5pm on Sunday night, with another public meeting scheduled in Invercargill at 5pm on Monday.

Later in the week, Dr Brash will also visit Masterton. Further meetings are being planned in Ashburton, Timaru, Oamaru, Auckland, Kumeu, Nelson, Hawke's Bay, West Auckland, New Plymouth, Cromwell, Blenheim, Palmerston North , Hamilton and the West Coast.

"I want to talk to and hear from as many New Zealanders as I can. It's so important that their views are reflected in government policy. Helen Clark has clearly under-estimated the anger growing among Maori and non-Maori over her racially divisive policies.

"National believes the policies that shape our country should be founded on the basis of need not race. Only a National Government can make that a reality," says Dr Brash.
