Killer Overstayer Should Be Sent Packing

Killer Overstayer Should Be Sent Packing

New Zealand First law and order spokesperson Ron Mark has called on the Government to start deporting criminal overstayers immediately.

This follows the case of Chinese overstayer and unlicensed driver Jiang Kai Liao who killed a woman during the Easter break. Jiang Kai Liao had managed to clock up three $400 tickets, blatantly ignoring them while overstaying his visa.

“This Government has shown how indifferent it is to tackling immigrant crime. Elements of the Asian community have been involved in fraud, extortion, kidnapping and murder and the Government still refuses to take any action against them,” said Mr Mark.

“Jiang lied to get out of paying his fines by changing his name and address when he was caught breaking New Zealand laws. This shows the lack of respect these people have for our laws. When he broke the law he should have been deported, instead our Government failed to act and he was left here to kill someone.

“Jiang is one of many in this community who not only break the law in this country but who are left to serve out their sentence at our expense. We are sick of having to pay for these people to stay here to serve out their sentence. They should be deported to their own country to serve out their sentence.

“I hope the Lester family sues the Government for their negligence. Jiang should never have been allowed to stay here and drive on our roads,” concluded Mr Mark.
