Dunne deplores cemetery vandalism

United Future leader Peter Dunne today condemned the "deplorable" attack overnight on the Jewish section of Wellington's Makara Cemetery.

"Such behaviour is indefensible and the work of some very disturbed individuals. It has no place in a tolerant society such as New Zealand," Mr Dunne said.

"This is no way to express any sentiment, and we can only hope the offenders are caught quickly and brought to justice.

"Such desecration is an offence to all right-thinking people," Mr Dunne said.
