The Carnival Against Capitalism returns!
A further global day of action against capitalism is planned for September 26, the date of the IMF/WTO annual meeting in Prague, Czech Republic.
For More Info See...http://www.tao.ca/~cec/

A coalition of groups worldwide will be holding protests and carnivals to show our opposition to the eviction of whole communities, poverty and death that have been the results of IMF and WB policies.

In Wellington we are planning a day of action, protest, and party centered around Cuba and Manners Mall. While there are no direct local targets for protest against the WTO and IMF, we will be focussing on banks as embodying the same basic principles of profit, foreign control, and disregard for local communities as the World Bank and IMF conglomerates.

Timetable for September 26

This will begin with Food Not Bombs outside McDonalds in Manners Mall, followed by music, breakdancing, bands, displays, balloons, chalk painting, roving pickets targeting banks etc. between 12 pm and 3 pm in the Cuba Mall / Manners Mall area.

12 pm Food Not Bombs will be serving free vege burgers outside McDonalds.
