Probation Workers Vote To Fight On
PSA national secretary Richard Wagstaff said that, "Probation Workers have overwhelmingly rejected the offer made by CPS last night. Support for the contract has diminished to 32.5% with support for industrial action increasing to 90% ".
"Our members have come out strongly in favour of continuing their low level action to get better recognition for their work"
"If CPS suspend staff again we will see another mass walkout immediately tomorrow" said Richard Wagstaff
"The result underscores poor morale and a serious lack of trust in the employment relationship. A settlement that contains tangible and immediate recognition of the work that Administration and Probation Officers do at CPS is required to settle this matter" concluded Richard Wagstaff.
