Mass Suspensions In Probation

"There have been mass suspensions in the Community Probation Service this morning," said PSA national secretary Richard Wagstaff. "We are appalled that the Probation Service has taken this aggressive approach, provoking yet another day of industrial action."

PSA members met yesterday and voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action if any further members were suspended. In light of today's developments they met this morning, and are walking off the job nationwide for the fourth day this week.

"The present offer represents no way forward, and no resolution to the real problems at the Community Probation Service," said Richard Wagstaff.
