Fathers Appalled At Outburst Over Family Court

The North Shore Men's Centre is appalled at the angry outburst by Paul Partridge of the National Network of Stopping Violence Services.

His gratuitous and slanderous remarks about men in the Father's movement, if made in a Family Court context, would be described as a "A Torrent of Abuse" and he would be looking at 6 months of Anger Management classes as a result, and restricted to seeing his children at supervised access centres.

We too welcome a review of the Family Court. Open hearings of the Family Court are the first requirement A presumption of equal shared parenting is the next- as in more civilized countries Repeal of all sexist laws and practices is demanded.

We look forward to the day when men are not prejudged out of prejudice, as Paul Partridge has just demonstrated.

We look forward to the day that families are free of the tyranny of the multi- million dollar father-removal industry, We look forward to the day that children are safe from having loving parents ripped away from them for no reason.

Only then will our children be free of the abuse perpetrated by Paul Partridge and those like him, for their own profit and political advantage.

John Brett Press Spokeman North Shore Men's Centre.
