Libz Congratulate Fitzsimons

Libertarianz spokesman Peter Cresswell today congratulated Jeanette Fitzsimons for her stunning performance in the internationally coveted ‘Bonehead Awards'.

Bonehead Awards are bestowed daily by US Internet scribe Jerry Lerman to a group or individual for a "boneheaded action." Cresswell notes that, following on from the previously unsuccessful attempt by her colleague Sue Kedgley for Bonehead immortality by calling for the banning of water, Fitzsimons achieved international recognition for her signal efforts in publicising her bizarre proposal to eradicate possums. The citation for Fitzsimons’ award reads:

"Bonehead award one goes to the New Zealand Green Party co-leader,
Jeanette Fitzsimons, who, in all seriousness, has proposed, on behalf
of the Green Party, that New Zealand solve their possum problem by
taking possum bodies and burning them at just the right time during a
lunar cycle to yield some sort of magic ashes that when mixed with
water and sprayed around will, through woo woo, repel and even
sterilize the possums."

Concluding his praise for her award, Cresswell says that with proposals like that, he "can only wonder why Jeanette reacts so huffily at being referred to as Fitzsimplesimons!"
