Palestine Human Rights Campaign Calls on New Zealand Jews to break their silence about Israel's apartheid wall, ruled iilegal by the ICJ.

The Palestine Human Rights Campaign applauds the strong ruling by the International Court of Justice on the illegality of the Israel's separation wall in Occupied Palestine.

It welcomes the statement by the NZ Government Foreign Minister Phil Goff that the International Court, by an overwhelming 14-1 majority, had found that the barrier's construction was "tantamount to annexation" and impeded the Palestinians' right to self-determination a decision which comes on top of a recent Israeli High Court decision requiring the Israeli Defence Force to look again at the route of part of the wall."

David Wakim a spokesperson for the Campaign calls on New Zealand Jews of conscience to break their silence and speak out and press Israel to take serious note of the court's ruling, and international opinion. He says Israel has the right to a build a wall but that the construction should on its legal 1967 border, not on Palestinian land.

Further, the campaign implores the New Zealand government to revoke the visa waiver agreement with the Israeli Government and urges all New Zealanders to boycott Israeli goods and services.New Zealand organisations should isolate Israel in economic, sporting and cultural areas until Israel conforms to the norms of a civilised nation by abiding with UN Resolutions, Geneva Conventions and other international agreements.
